摘  要:语言作为人类社会发展过程中必不可少的交际工具,在历史长河中发挥着至关重要的作用。礼貌是人类文明发展的必然结果,作为一种约定俗成的社会道德规范而存在。自人类进入文明社会,作为语言学分支的礼貌用语以及对它的研究日益受到人们的关注。由于当前人类文明具有多元化的特点,其外在表现也各不相同。受全球化的影响,国与国之间的交际活动日益频繁,作为影响力较大的两种语言——英语和汉语,在交际过程中的差异性日渐明显,因此,熟知双方的语言文化,了解双方礼貌用语差异,能进一步促进国与国之间跨文化交际活动的开展。基于此,该文从英汉礼貌用语的内涵、文化价值观念体现、用语准则入手,充分分析了英汉礼貌用语的差异性。As an indispensable communication tool in the development of human society, language plays a vital role in the long river of history. Polite language is the inevitable result of the development of human civilization, which exists as a conventional social moral norm. Since the entry of human beings into civilized society, the study of polite language, as a branch of linguistics research, has attracted more and more attention. As the current human civilization has the characteristics of pluralism, the external manifestation among different nations and counties appears diverse.Affected by globalization, communicative activities among different counties have been on the rise in recent years. English and Chinese, as two wildly used international languages, have showed their distinct characteristics in communicative activities. Therefore, being familiar with the language and culture of both sides, understanding the differences in their polite language can further promote the cross-cultural communication. Based on these backgrounds, the article fully analyzes the polite language between English and Chinese from the perspective of the connotation, the embodiment of cultural values, and the language guidelines.
