摘　　要：《白鲸》是赫尔曼·麦尔维尔的代表作,被誉为美国最伟大的小说之一。这部小说实际上是一本生态文学。在这本书中,捕鲸船的疯狂捕鲸体现了人类对大自然的藐视和过度利用,因此该文试图采用生态批评视角分析亚哈的悲剧以及人类因欲望和贪婪对自然以及对人类生存的环境所造成的破坏。该文指出人类应该与自然和谐相处。人类只有尊重自然,对其适度开发,才能走出亚哈困境,摆脱生态悲剧,实现人与自然共存共荣。Moby Dick the representative of Herman Melville,is regarded as one of the world’s greatest masterpieces.In effect,this novel is an ecological literature.In this book,the crazy behavior of catching whales of whaling boats shows that human being’s despising and overusing of nature.So,this thesis attempts to analyze this book from the perspective of ecological critical perspective.Through the tragedy of Ahab,and human being’s destruction to nature and the environment people live in because of their desire and greed,this paper suggests that human being should get together with nature harmoniously,and human should respect nature and exploit nature within limits.Only in this way,can human being get out of the "Ahab trouble",get rid of the ecological tragedy and realize the co-existing between nature and human being.
