In order to explore the influence of glass microspheres content on detonation performance of emulsion explosive, the effects of different contents of glass microspheres on the microstructure, detonation velocity, critical diameter, brisance and underwater explosion energy of emulsion explosive were experimentally studied,by means of microscope, time meter, lead column compression test and underwater explosion test. The results show that the detonation velocity, brisance and underwater explosion energy of emulsified explosive first increase and then decrease with the increase of the content. When the content of glass microspheres is 3%,the relevant parameters reach the maximum value, which are 4452.34m/s,17.1mm and 3.07MJ·kg^(-1)respectively,as well as the detonation sensitivity of emulsion explosive is the highest, and the minimum critical diameter is 12mm.The detonation velocity of explosive, the content of glass microspheres and the diameter of charge satisfy the relational equation within a certain range.Compared with bubble energy, the content of glass microspheres has a greater influence on the shock wave energy of explosives.
