Brief Report on the 2017-2018 Excavation of the Pottery-Making Site at Dayuan Village in Fengxi,Xi’an City

摘　　要：2012年,西安市西咸新区丰京遗址大原村西南进行的大面积钻探发现29座陶窑,主要分布在东西长约400、南北宽约200米范围内[1](图一;图二)。为了解该遗址的年代、性质、分布范围、制陶操作链以及聚落布局,2017年开始,我们申报了中国社会科学院考古研究所“丰镐遗址考古勘探与试掘”创新项目,对大原村制陶遗址进行了连续发掘。现将2017~2018年的发掘情况简报如下。A pottery-making workshop site in the southwestern Dayuan Village at Xixian New District,Xi’an city was excavated from 2017-2018.The excavation discovered Western Zhou pottery kilns,midden pits,as well as burials.Kilns include two types:updraft and up-and-horizontal draft kilns.The site dates to the early phase of the late Western Zhou.Products of the pottery-making workshop were mainly sand-tempered greyish tripod li vessels with separate pouches.Unearthed artifacts related to pottery-making such as pottery anvils,paddles,spindle whorls,and greenware,etc.provide important material for studying Western Zhou pottery-making technological processes,the settlement layout of the Fenghao site,as well as the archaeology of urban handcraft.
