威尔斯小说《时间机器》中的伦理危机

摘　　要：《时间机器》是英国著名科幻小说家威尔斯最出色的作品之一。小说开创“时间旅行”先河,描绘了一个人类异化、文明退化、社会失序、生物多样性减少的恶托邦式未来世界。基于文学伦理学批评视角,从未来社会人类伦理身份的困惑与迷失、社会伦理的异化与崩溃以及生态伦理的式微与颓败这三个方面分析小说中的伦理示警,揭示威尔斯的伦理观:没有了伦理道德的约束,人类终将走向灭亡。The Time Machine by the famous British writer Herbert George Wells is one of the author’s best works.The novel is considered the progenitor of“time travel”,depicting a future world of human alienation,civilization degradation,social disorder,and biodiversity reduction.Based on the ethical literary criticism,this paper analyzes the ethical warnings in The Time Machine from three aspects:the confusion and loss of human ethical identity in the future society,the collapse of social ethics,and the crisis of ecological ethics.It reveals the ethics of Wells:without the constraints of ethics and morality,mankind will eventually perish.
