摘　　要：《小房子》是一部文字、绘画和书籍设计三方面叙事高度统一、共同奏出传统怀旧牧歌主题的作品。从对英美田园牧歌发展史、工艺美术运动缘起及作者维吉尼亚·李·伯顿本人创作活动的考察来看,这一经典绘本通过叙事的“形式”,在现代设计各流派风起云涌的转型时代中,继承了工艺美术运动崇尚自然、向往充满“人性”的作品生产活动及追求平等和谐的生活这些内涵精神。思考这样一部细致遵循文体规则、挣扎于古典情怀和现代人文精神的矛盾之间的经典绘本作品,能给当下时代带来慰藉与启示。The Little House is a work of traditional nostalgic pastoral theme,which is highly unified in narrative,including text,illustrations and book design.This paper explores how this classic picture book inherits the connotation spirit of the arts and crafts movement’s pursuit of nature,yearning for the production activities of works full of humanity and equal and harmonious life through the narrative“form”in the surging transformation era of various modern design schools.From this,we can think about the comfort and enlightenment that such a classic picture book carefully following the stylistic rules and trapped in the contradiction between classical feelings and modern humanistic spirit can bring to the current era.
