摘　　要：Storyof Rural Struggles Raises Awareness A Vlog detailing the struggles of an elderly man in the countryside has touched hearts across China.According to the author,his uncle lost partial use of his left leg at 16 after getting shots for a fever at a rural clinic.Depressed,he dropped out of school,but spent the following years reading medical books and learning carpentry.He then adopted a young girl,whom he raised on his own.When she married,he spent his life savings on her apartment.Many netizens said the story encouraged them to work harder,but others argued that people,especilly government offcials,should send fewer thoughts and prayers and focus more on correcting the root causes of rural issues,especially social security for rural residents.
