袁昶日记稿本的流传形态及其史料价值

摘　　要：袁昶是晚清重臣,曾全面负责总理衙门的外交工作;同时,他也是晚清诗坛代表人物之一,其日记一直被视为研究晚清文史的重要文献。目前通行的《乱中日记残稿》《袁爽秋京卿日记》《毗邪台山散人日记》等,均经学者影印、整理出版。但上述日记均系抄本,或为残篇,或摘录片段,不仅篇幅有限,且遗漏了大量的历史信息。事实上,袁昶日记的手稿本仍然存世,且分别入藏于上海图书馆与南京图书馆,其数量达六十五册之多,所记时间跨度长达三十余年,总字数在二百万字以上。该稿本日记记录了袁昶一生行事闻见,内容异常丰富,可为晚清政治、经济、文化、军事、外交等多方面研究提供翔实可靠的史料。通过对日记抄录的诗文作品与传世刻本进行校对,袁昶诗文集的成书过程与诗学思想的演变痕迹也能得到清晰呈现。Yuan Chang was an important official in charge of foreign affairs in the late Qing Dynasty. He was also a famous poetand scholar. His diary became an important document of his time. At present,there are several popular versions,but they are not com-plete records,so a lot of historical information has been omitted. In fact,the manuscript of Yuan Chang’s diary still exists and is col-lected in Shanghai Library and Nanjing Library. The 65-volume manuscript,estimated to contain more than 2 million words,recordsYuan Chang’s 30 years of life experience. It truly reflects a lot of historical information of the late Qing Dynasty has been truly reflectedand much about the ideological changes of the official and the changes of his literary writing can be learned.
