摘　　要：In therun-upto the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics,there was much uncertainty aboutthe Games amid thethreat of a new Covid-19wave fueled by the Omicron variant and a US-led"diplomatic boycott"among some Western countries.But when the Games' opening ceremony kicked off on February 4,everything seemed tobe just fine.
