摘　　要：为提高圈养南白犀(Ceratotherium simum simum)的繁殖成功率,开展了粪便睾酮水平与其年龄关系研究,采集46头不同年龄雄性南白犀的粪便,测定粪便睾酮含量,记录繁殖成功率。结果表明:圈养雄性南白犀的粪便睾酮水平与其年龄有一定的相关性,呈现随年龄增加逐步增多的趋势,10岁后,粪便睾酮水平显著上升(P<0.05);4岁起,逐渐表现出交配行为,交配成功最早在8岁,与野外6岁性成熟相比有所推迟。4~8岁南白犀属亚成体到成体的过渡,同一年龄时的粪便睾酮水平波动较大,对生长发育和繁殖可能产生一定影响,应将这一年龄的南白犀作为关注的重点。In order to rationalize the mating behavior of captive southern white rhinoceros(Ceratotherium simum simum)during estrus,and to increase the success rate of reproduction,fecal testosterone level of captive male southern white rhinoceros was carried out.The feces of 46 male southern white rhinoceros were collected to determine fecal testosterone levels,and the success rate of reproduction was recorded.The results showed that the fecal testosterone level of male southern white rhinoceros in captivity varied with age,showing a trend of gradually increasing with age.After 10 years old,the fecal testosterone level increased significantly(P<0.05).The captive southern white rhinoceros gradually showed mating behavior from the age of four,but the earliest mating success occurred at the age of eight which was delayed compared with the age of six in the wild.The captive southern white rhinoceros at the age of 4-8 years could be referred to as the transitional stage of rhinoceros from sub-adult to adult,and its fecal testosterone level fluctuated greatly during these years,which might have a certain impact on the growth,development and reproduction.Therefore,captive white rhinoceros at such age should give more attention.
