摘 要:中红外手性超材料具有体积小、易集成等优点,在中红外激光偏振态调控方面具有潜在的应用。本文提出了一种多层ITO椭圆柱中红外手性超材料。该结构的每个单元由三层相同的氧化铟锡(ITO)椭圆柱组成。模拟结果表明,椭圆柱之间的距离、椭圆柱的厚度、椭圆柱的短长轴之比、椭圆柱中心的相对位置、椭圆柱的数量和椭圆柱材料对结构的圆二向色性(CD)均产生了影响。结构在三个不同的波段均展示CD特性,在波长为3.52μm、4.12μm和5.28μm附近处展现出三个不同强度的CD极大值。模拟结果也表明,与贵金属金、银椭圆柱构成的结构相比,由ITO椭圆柱构成的结构展现出更宽带和多带的圆二向色性。后者结构在中红外波段的CD主要有一个带,在0.39μm附近带宽为0.5μm,而前者在4.12μm和5.28μm附近处的半高宽分别为0.6μm和1.6μm,这在中红外宽带和多带偏振态调控方面具有潜在的应用。Mid-infrared chiral metamaterials have the advantages of small volume and easy integration,and have potential applications in the regulation of mid-infrared laser polarization states.In this paper,a mid-infrared chiral metamaterial with multilayered ITO elliptical columns is presented.Each unit of the structure consists of three layers of identical indium tin oxide(ITO)elliptical columns.Simulation results show that the distance between the elliptical columns,the thickness of the ellipse,the ratio of the short and long axises,the relative position of the elliptical center,and the number and the elliptical material of the elliptical columns have influence on the circular dichroism(CD)of the structure.The structure exhibits CD properties in three different bands,and three different CD maximum values near the wavelengths of 3.52μm,4.12μm,and 5.28μm.The simulation results also show that the structure composed of ITO elliptic columns shows a more broadband and more multi-band circular dichroism than the structures composed of precious metal gold or silver elliptic columns.The latter structures mainly have a single band of CD in the mid-infrared band,with a bandwidth of 0.5μm near the 0.39μm,while the former has bandwidths of 0.6μm and 1.6μm near the 4.12μm and 5.28μm,respectively.This has potential applications in mid-infrared broadband and multi-band polarization state regulation devices.
