情境语境视角下《金匮要略》颜色词的翻译探究

摘　　要：颜色词是人类对色彩认知所固定下来的语言表达,中西方语言文化中的颜色词使用存在诸多差异。系统功能语言学认为,情境语境指的是语言活动的直接环境,话题和题材等情境语境变化引起了词汇和话语结构等语言的变化。中医典籍中的颜色词使用发生在独特的中医药情境语境中,中医药颜色词翻译只有紧扣语境才能准确翻译,对于准确理解古代中医诊断技术具有重要意义。此文以杂病诊治的专著《金匮要略》罗希文英译本为例,选取其中有代表性的颜色词的译法,从词汇搭配、医学背景知识、上下文语境等方面探讨了中医药这一特殊的情境语境下,汉语颜色词的英译策略。Color words are language expressions fixed by human cognition.Different culture in the use of color words definitely results in the combination with the specific context.According to systemic functional linguistics,situational context refers to the direct environment of language activities.The change of situational context such as topic and subject matter causes the change of vocabulary and discourse structure.This paper is intended to tackle the divergences or even discrepancies in color words between Chinese and English cultures in one of traditional Chinese medicine classics,aimed at the idea that different culture in the use of color words definitely results in the combination with the specific context in order to translate accurately.The color words in ancient Chinese medicine books are of great significance for the correct understanding of ancient Chinese medicine diagnosis technology.This paper takes Luo Xi-Wen’s English translation of Synopsis of the Golden Chamber as an example,selects the representative translation methods of color words,and discusses the translation strategies of Chinese color words in the special context of traditional Chinese medicine from the aspects of vocabulary collocation,medical background knowledge and context.
