Electric vehicles can help reduce air pollution and dependence on oil,but there is still a large gap between the active government promotion and consumers’willingness to adopt as far as the current status of market purchase is concerned. This paper aims to analyze the changes in the year of publication and the volume of publications by combing through 703 papers published from 2010 to 2022 through Web of Science(core collection database); The visualization function of CiteSpace software is employed to examine the cooperation among countries and institutions in this field, major published journals, key classic literature and the evolution of research trends and frontier hot-spots.The results show that since 2017,the quantity of publications has been increasing significantly; The academic community of“UK-US-German”has contributed a large number of groundbreaking literature, and China’s research influence has been on the rise; After evolution, information technology, automatic driving and technology acceptance have become the forefront of research on consumers’willingness to adopt electric vehicles.
