《人鼠之间》中农业工人精神共同体的破裂

摘　　要：《人鼠之间》讲述了农业工人群体因“土地梦”凝聚成精神共同体,最终以莱尼的死亡宣告其崩溃的故事。基于滕尼斯的共同体理论,通过对农业工人精神共同体形塑过程和破裂原因的解读,可以发现农业工人精神共同体只是想象的乌托邦。该论文以农业工人精神共同体为依托,剖析了田园牧歌式的农场生活和残酷冷漠的现实生活的二元对立,进一步关照斯坦贝克对农业工人悲惨命运的深切同情和心理关怀。Of Mice and Men depicts farm workers spiritual community bound up with“land dream”,ending up in the death of Lennie.Based on Ferdinand T nnies theory of community,the result of the study which analyses how farm workers spiritual community develops and why it collapses,shows that farm workers spiritual community is just an Utopia in imagination.Based on farm workers spiritual community,this study echoes Steinbeck s deep sympathy and consideration for farm workers miserable fate through dissecting binary opposition between pastoral farm lives and cruel reality.
