摘　　要：敦煌文献是中古时期敦煌社会的客观反映,是研究中古敦煌乃至整个中古社会最直接的资料。敦煌学从兴起到发展为国际显学的百余年间,也正是中国社会史研究从初建到繁盛的时期,二者在研究旨趣、对象、范畴、理论方法乃至发展阶段特点方面都有相当的重合与一致,可谓相伴相生、相促相成。敦煌社会史的研究,不仅构成中古社会史研究的重要组成部分,同时也为这门学科的发展进步,从资料、研究旨趣及理论方法上提供了强有力的支持。梳理百余年间敦煌社会史的研究发展脉络,考察其阶段性特点,探讨分析其社会文化动力与理论支撑,总结规律并展望未来,不仅是敦煌学研究,同时也是古代社会史研究的一项必要工作。Since the discovery of Dunhuang manuscripts,Dunhuang Studies has embraced a hundred years of development.Dunhuang manuscripts are an objective reflection of Dunhuang society in the Middle Ages.In addition,with its geographical location on the Silk Road,the mixed people of Han and Hu,the diversified culture of the lower class,the rich content of Buddhist grotto murals,and the society with a long-term regional development,Dunhuang in the Middle Ages also provides an excellent sample for today’s people to understand the local society in ancient northwest China.This also determines that the study of Dunhuang is naturally and inextricably linked with the study of social history in terms of the research purport,category and content,theory and method as well as significance and value.Therefore,whether consciously or not,the achievements of Dunhuang research represent in fact the development and embodiment of Dunhuang social research.By reviewing the development of Dunhuang social history over the past one hundred years,it can be found that the study of Dunhuang social history has been influenced by the overall development trend of Dunhuang studies and the thoughts and theories of social history studies.Under the combined effect of these two factors,the study of Dunhuang social history presents different characteristics and trends of development in different times.In the early period of the development of Dunhuang Studies,Japan,France and other countries have led the Dunhuang Studies globally for a long time.However,since the reform and opening up,with the continuous publication of Dunhuang manuscripts,domestic scholars have started collating and preliminary research on various kinds of Dunhuang manuscripts.Moreover,the new century has recorded fruitful achievements made by scholars in the study of politics,economy,religion,culture,art and other aspects of Dunhuang on the basis of the previous studies.However,from the perspective of overall social history research,the overall and comprehensive research on Dunhuang soci
