摘　　要：《欲望号街车》是田纳西·威廉姆斯在1947创作的著名戏剧。在剧中布兰奇总是充满幻想,她渴望获得救赎,却总是摆脱不了过去的影响,面对悲惨绝望的现实,她甚至以极端病态的方式谋取生存,最终难逃悲惨命运。该文将从布兰奇·杜波依斯绝望和堕落的生活来探索她渴望救赎的深层原因、追寻救赎的途径以及最终救赎失败的结果3个部分来阐述其救赎。A Streetcar Named Desire is a famous play created by Tennessee Williams in 1947.In the play,Blanche is always full of fantasy.She is eager for redemption,but she can't get rid of the influence of the past.Facing the tragic and desperate reality,she even tries to survive in an extremely morbid way,and finally she can't escape the tragic fate.This article will discuss Blanche DuBois'redemption from three parts:her desperate and degenerate life to explore the deep causes of her desire for redemption,the way to pursue redemption and the ultimate failure of redemption.
