摘　　要：乔尔·莫基尔是经济史学领域极具影响的学者,其入选科睿唯安“引文桂冠”经济学奖的主要原因是对技术进步及其经济效应的历史和文化研究。在技术进步和工业革命研究的基础上,莫基尔从多方面探寻经济增长的历史起因和动力,研究内容可以概括为相互交叉的三条主线:历史性地认识技术进步和知识经济及其与工业革命的内在联系;结合理论模型和基于历史数据的经验分析,讨论人口数量、人力资源和资本形成等因素对工业革命和工业化的影响;从知识分享和积累等视角,分析有利于经济增长的政治、制度和文化背景。他的研究将经济史、社会史、政治史和思想史相结合以综合考察社会变革和经济增长,还完善了“有用知识”“工业启蒙”等影响广泛的概念。本文介绍莫基尔的生平和学术成就,分类梳理他的主要研究成果及学术贡献,并总结其对当前经济发展和我国经济发展史研究的启示。Joel Mokyr is an influential scholar in the field of economic history. He is selected as Citation Laureates for studies of the history and culture of technological progress and its economic consequences. Based on the study of technological progress and industrial revolution, Mokyr’s studies on the origins and engines of economic growth can be divided into three threads:(1) studies on technological progress, knowledge economy, and their intrinsic relationship with the industrial revolution;(2) studies on the impact of population size, human resources and capital formation on the industrial revolution and industrialization by theoretical models and empirical analyses based on historical data;(3) studies on political, institutional and cultural background for economic growth from the perspective of knowledge sharing and accumulation. His research combines economic history, social history, political history and ideological history to thoroughly understand social change and economic growth, and perfects the widely influential concepts such as “useful knowledge” and “industrial enlightenment”. This paper introduces Mokyr’s life and academic achievements, classifies and combs his main research achievements and academic contributions, and summarizes the enlightenment to today’s economic development and research on the history of China’s economic development.
