摘　　要：《快乐的英格兰》演讲是理解金斯利·艾米斯小说《幸运的吉姆》思想的一个重要切入口。首先,作为小说的叙事线索,演讲借助“快乐的英格兰”这一传统意象串联全文,展现了艾米斯对英国民族文化身份的追寻;其次,演讲兼具私人性和公共性,演讲的嵌入可以借狄克逊之口进行社会批判,实现“英国性”解构;最后,演讲作为一种话语,参与着小说意义的建构。小说通过祛魅乡村、复魅伦敦城以及重塑男性气质,重构了一个以流行文化和商业资本主义为主导的“英国性”,展现了艾米斯在后帝国时代的民族身份焦虑。The speech on Merrie England is the key to the understanding of Kingsley Amis’ s novel Lucky Jim.Firstly,as an important narrative clue,the speech is linked to the novel by the “Merrie England” imagery and demonstrates Amis’ s pursuit of English national identity;secondly,the embedding of the speech,which can be both personal and public,serves well for social criticism via Dixon and the deconstruction of Englishness;lastly,as a discourse,the speech also facilitates the construction of meaning in novel.With the disenchantment of the countryside,re-enchantment of London,and remoulding of masculinities,the novel redefines “Englishness” which is characterized with popular culture and commercial capitalism and demonstrates Amis’ s anxiety of the national identity in the post-imperial age.
