摘 要:Malformations of the female lower genital tract are congenital deviations from normal anatomy caused by abnormal development of the Müllerian ducts and urogenital sinus. These malformations may cause troublesome symptoms in adolescent girls after puberty and have substantially negative impact on their reproductive potential and mental health.Congenital cervical malformations(CCMs)are the most challenging and complicated entity in this territory. They are caused by abnormal bilateral Mullerian fusion and later canalization, manifested by the absence or underdevelopment of the cervix, leading to the obstruction of the cervical canal for evacuation of menses at menarche.Their prevalence ranges from 1/80,000 to 1/100,000[1],and approximately half of patients coexist with congenital vaginal agenesis[2].
