游行、狂欢节场景与一代人的堕落--《我的亲戚,莫利诺少校》与霍桑的“狂欢诗学”

摘　　要：在霍桑的罗曼司中,《我的亲戚,莫利诺少校》是展现霍桑的“狂欢诗学”的重要作品之一。在这部作品中,霍桑不仅在历史的横断面上对一出狂欢场景进行了详尽描写,同时也历时性地表现出了这一狂欢节场景对殖民地未来的影响,并集中展现了霍桑对革命的态度以及对美国历史的独特观念。通过描写殖民地革命中的一出狂欢节场景,突出新英格兰殖民地年轻一代在狂欢节中的表现,霍桑表达了对殖民地革命的怀疑态度,展现了对历史内部的黑暗性的深刻认识,表现了对美国革命后一代人的内在精神的忧虑。In Hawthorne’ s romance creations, “My Kinsman, Major Molineux” is one of the most important works that shows Hawthorne’s “poetics of carnival”. In this work, Hawthorne not only describes a detailed scene of carnival in a cross section of history, but diachronically shows the historical trend of the American colony and its influence on the future of colony. Additionally, this work expresses Hawthorne’s unique idea of colonial revolution and American history. By describing a carnivalesque scene in the colonial revolution and highlighting the performance of the young generation in the colony during the carnival, Hawthorne expresses his skepticism about the colonial revolution, demonstrates a deep understanding of darkness within history, and finally shows concerns about the inner spirit of the generation after the revolutionary period.
