摘　　要：在当今社会的各个领域,视频监控都发挥着至关重要的作用。而在视频监控系统中,图像压缩技术是一项关键技术,通过合理应用该技术,不仅可有效消除视频监控数据中的各项冗余,同时也可以实现监控画面质量及其流畅度的良好保障。为实现图像压缩技术在视频监控领域的良好应用,文章特对其在视频监控系统中的实际应用进行分析,以此来为图像压缩技术与视频监控系统的协同发展提供科学参考。Video surveillance plays a vital role in every field of today’s society.In the video surveillance system,image compression technology is a key form of technology.The reasonable application of this technology can not only effectively eliminate the redundancy in video monitoring data,but also ensure the quality and smoothness of monitoring images.In order to realize the good application of image compression technology in the field of video surveillance,this paper analyzes its practical application in the video surveillance system,so as to provide scientific reference for the collaborative development of image compression technology and video surveillance system.
