摘　　要：作为一名艺术工作者,置身新时代,对“为什么创作”“创作什么”“怎么创作”等问题的思考与实践,体现着其价值观和艺术观。20多年前,吴为山立足民族传统放眼世界,创造性地提出“写意雕塑”理论观点,并将这一创造性的语言以其大量的艺术创作实践,阐释与佐证了其艺术理论价值。在历史的悠久时空和近现代红色文脉及当代生活、文明对话等不同题材的表现中,以“写意精神”塑造了一尊尊客观本然的存在,诗风浩荡,神韵非凡,反映了艺术家30多年来艺术人生中的思考。As an artist living in the new era, I always think about "why, what and how I should create" and put my thoughts into practice,which demonstrates my views on value and art. While keeping national traditions in mind and adopting a global perspective, I put forward the original theory of "freehand sculpture" more than two decades ago, and has since proven its value as an art theory in my numerous creations. Sculptures based on such themes as the long history, revolutions in modern and contemporary era and dialogues between cultures in contemporary era are created with a "freehand mindset", which shows my reflection upon 30-plus years of experience in art.
