摘 要:本文以女性家庭地位改善作为分析起点,将互联网作为科技因素纳入女性赋权框架,探究以互联网为代表的新媒介对女性家庭地位改善的作用。基于中国妇女社会地位调查和中国家庭追踪调查两大微观数据库实证分析发现,互联网使用显著改善了女性的家庭地位。使用工具变量法处理内生性问题后,上述结论仍然相当稳健。反事实框架下的因果中介分析表明,性别态度、收入水平和家庭伦理观念是互联网使用影响女性家庭地位的重要中介渠道,其中,家庭伦理观念起的作用较大,约为17%,收入水平的中介效应为9.90%,而性别态度的中介作用为6.84%。Taking the improvement of women’s family status to initiate the analysis, this paper integrates the internet as a technological factor into the framework of women’s empowerment, and explores the role of new media represented by the internet in improving the status of women’s family status. Using the NSWSS and CFPS datasets, our empirical analysis shows that the usage of the internet significantly increases women’s family status. While addressing the problem of endogeneity by using the instrumental variable method, the conclusion is still quite robust. Employing the causal mediation analysis under the counterfactual framework, we show that gender role attitudes, income, and family ethic values play important roles in mediating the effect of internet usage on women’s family status. Among them, family ethic values play a larger role at 17.73%, income at 11.45%, and gender role attitudes at 6.74%.
