老龄化抑制了中国居民食糖消费吗?  

Does aging inhibit Chinese residents’ sugar consumption?

摘　　要：为探讨老龄化背景下的食糖消费增长规律,基于中国健康与营养调查数据,采用居民含糖食品消费加总的策略分析老龄化对居民食糖消费量的影响,同时检验影响机制以及可能存在的异质性特征。结果表明:1)老龄化会显著抑制居民的食糖消费,老龄化程度加深1%,人均食糖消费量减少0.62%;2)收入变量只是老龄化抑制居民食糖消费量的部分原因,老年群体食糖消费的减少量难以被收入效应的增加量抵消。同时,老龄化能够改善居民对健康食物的消费偏好,从而抑制居民食糖消费量增长;3)虽然老龄化对东部和中西部、南方和北方地区的居民食糖消费量影响程度各异,但是老龄化会抑制居民食糖消费这一结论在不同区域具有一致性。本研究结论有助于公共部门制定有针对性的老年群体营养干预政策,也可以为含糖食品行业的“减糖”策略提供参考。In order to explore the growth law of sugar consumption in the context of aging,based on the data of the China Health and Nutrition Survey,the strategy of summing up the consumption of sugar-sweetened food was used to analyze the impact of aging on the consumption of sugar,and examine the impact mechanism and possible heterogeneity characteristics.The results show that:1)Aging significantly inhibits residents’ sugar consumption.The aging degree deepens by 1%,and the per capita sugar consumption decreases by 0.62%;2)The income variable is only part of the reason why aging inhibits residents’ sugar consumption.The decrease in the income effect is hardly offset by the increase in the income effect.At the same time,aging can improve residents’ preference for healthy food,thereby inhibiting the growth of residents’ sugar consumption;3)Although aging has different effects on residents’ sugar consumption in the eastern and central and western,southern and northern regions,the conclusion that aging inhibits residents’ sugar consumption is consistent among different regions.The findings of this study can not only help the public sector to formulate targeted nutrition intervention policies for the elderly,but also provide reference for the sugar-sweetened food industry’s“sugar reduction”strategy.
