公民精神与公共空间的互生和强化--以拉霍亚瑞夫特图书馆为例

摘　　要：文章是对拉霍亚瑞夫特图书馆公共空间进行的个案研究。文章首先将现代公民精神定位为公民对社区公共事务的参与和奉献;其次,介绍瑞夫特图书馆在空间构成和装饰上的特殊之处,它们都是来自公民的捐赠;再次,那些承载历史记忆的信息被安放在显要的位置里,构成了公民集体记忆的空间,这些空间又着意表达对公民奉献的褒奖,通过对比附近的两家图书馆的捐献墙,阐释了瑞夫特图书馆的捐献墙在设计上的精妙;最后,文章梳理了在图书馆进行的三类活动,揭示了空间、活动和公民精神之间良性循环的关系。This paper is a case study of public space in La Jolla Riford Library.It locates the modern civic spirit in citizens'participation and devotion in community public affairs.Then it describes the features in composition and decorations of the library and finds that all these come from local citizens'donation.As the civic collective memory the historical information are placed in the conspicuous spots,which highlights the donation.Compared with the other two libraries nearby the Riford library has outstanding donation wall.The last part describes the activities in the libraries and reveals the good recycling among the space,activities and civic spirit.
