摘　　要：本文以维维克·奇伯的《作茧自缚》中所讨论的印度与韩国的发展逻辑为起点,围绕“决定发展型国家建设之成败的核心机制是什么?”这一核心问题,探讨了发展型国家理论最有可能的转向路径,并提出了理解该问题的一般化理论视角。本文指出,企业面临的市场转换成本以及竞争程度将塑造企业家的发展动机,这将决定企业家面对国家发展政策时的态度继而对发展型国家建设之成败产生关键影响。本文还分析了当前中国的发展型国家研究所面临的问题,并重新思考了两项看似矛盾的经验研究,以展示本文所提出的理论视角的解释力。What determines the success or failure of building a developmental state? In the book Locked in Place: State-Building and Late Industrialization in India,Vivek Chibber pointed out that one of the prerequisites for building a developmental state is that state policy needs to be in line with the interests of capital groups in society,and the latter ’s interest orientation is related to the market. This paper outlines the academic position of this book,summarizes its content,and analyzes the more general theoretical perspective contained therein. This book indicates that the transition costs and market competition are essential for building a developmental state. Finally,this paper discusses the status quo of the developmental state studies in China and demonstrates the explanatory power of the perspective based on two examples with seemingly contradictory conclusions.
