摘　　要：1926-1939年是UCL统计学系最鼎盛的一段时期,短短14年间竟然陆续迎来了7位中国学生,在这个不大的统计学系学习、研究,他们不仅将最前沿的统计理论和方法带回中国,使得中国的统计教育和研究紧跟国际先进水平,而且其中的杰出代表吴定良、许宝騄也为世界统计学科的发展做出了突出贡献。The period from 1926 to 1939 was the most prosperous period of Department of Statistics at UCL.During this period,seven Chinese students studied Statistics there.They not only brought the most cutting-edge statistical theories and methods back to China,making China ’s statistical education and application at a similar level to that of Britain and the United States,but also the outstanding representatives Woo Ting-liang and Hsu Pao-lu made outstanding contributions to the development of the international statistical discipline.
