广义修辞学视域下冰心《燃灯者》中译文的修辞建构与当代意义

摘　　要：翻译不仅是语言层面的话语转换,更是一种修辞建构。透过译文的话语修辞建构不仅能领略译文的修辞特色与译者的翻译技巧,也能窥见译文生成的深层动因,挖掘翻译行为的社会意义。基于此思路,笔者梳理冰心《燃灯者》汉译本核心词“light”的多样化译文与圆周句的高频启用,指出其间所达成的话语建构和诗意化文本建构实际上源自译者精神建构中对“灯”“灯塔守”的钟爱以及对光明、正义的崇敬与追求,这也间接彰显冰心《燃灯者》汉译实践的当代意义。Translation is not only discourse transference at the linguistic level,but also rhetorical constructions.Through the discourse of the target text,the rhetorical features of the target text and the translator’s translation skills will be discovered.Moreover,we can peek into the deep motivation of the production of target texts and explore the social significance of the translation behavior.Based on this viewpoint,the author reviews the diversified translations of the key word“light”in Bing Xin’s Chinese translation of The Lamplighter and the high-frequency use of periodic sentences,points out that the discourse construction and poetic text construction achieved in the translation actually originate from the translator’s love for“light”and“lighthouse keeper”in her spiritual construction and her reverence and pursuit of light and justice.This also indirectly reveals the contemporary significance of Bing Xin’s translation of The Lamplighter into Chinese.
