跨文化视野下《大地三部曲》中环境记忆的多维表达

摘　　要：人类的发展史可以说也是一部人类个体或群体与环境发生物质或精神联系的交互史。我们在适应、改变着环境,而环境也在时空流转中承载、记录下了人类的成长足迹。环境记忆总是在特定的地域空间中诞生,并在个人或群体的意识活动、相关的历史文字记载、文化精神遗产中得以保存与延续。美国作家赛珍珠以自己在中国的生活经历为基础,在其代表作《大地三部曲》中就为我们生动地呈现了包含土地记忆、聚落记忆、中国本土化记忆在内的环境记忆。通过分析作家笔下多样化的人物塑造以及曲折的故事情节,我们将在跨文化视野下对赛珍珠笔下环境记忆的形成、其背后丰富的精神及文化内蕴、其对作品中的人物形象及对作者本人的深刻影响等方面有更加深刻的了解。The history of human development is also the one that people interact materially and mentally with their environment,either individually or collectively.When we are adapting to and transforming the environment,we have also imprinted our marks and records on it during such a long history.Born to a specific geographical space,environmental memory has been preserved and lived in individual or group consciousness activities,historical and written records,and cultural and spiritual heritage.Based on her life experience in China,Pearl S.Buck,an American writer,vividly presents such environmental memories as land memory,settlement memory and Chinese localization memory in her representative work The Earth Trilogy.This paper analyzes from a cross-cultural perspective the book in terms of its diversifed characters and tortuous plot,in an endeavor to understand better its environmental memory,images,spiritual richness and cultural connotation,all of which contribute to shaping the book’s distinct style.
