摘  要:本文基于媒体报道的信息中介和外部监督功能,以2016-2020年我国沪深两市A股上市公司为样本,探究在不同产权性质和市场化程度下媒体报道对企业商誉减值准备计提的影响,同时检验了其影响机制路径。研究表明:媒体报道数量与企业计提商誉减值准备的金额之间呈现显著正相关关系,即媒体报道会增加企业计提商誉减值准备的金额,且在国有企业和市场化程度较低的地区影响程度更大;投资者情绪和分析师关注度在媒体报道对企业计提商誉减值准备金额的影响中均存在部分中介效应。本文明晰了媒体报道对企业计提商誉减值准备金额的影响路径,丰富了商誉的相关研究文献。Based on the information intermediary and external supervision functions reported by the media, this paper takes the A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges of China from 2016 to 2020 as the research sample,and considers the impact on the provision for impairment of business reputation under the circumstances of different property rights and marketization degrees, while testing its impact mechanism path. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the number of media reports and the amount of goodwill impairment provision, that is, the increase in the number of media reports will aggravate the amount of goodwill impairment provision;the sample is divided into state-owned enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises according to the nature of property rights. The empirical results show that among state-owned enterprises, media reports have a greater impact on state-owned enterprises’ provision for impairment of goodwill;Classify the samples according to the degree of marketization. The empirical results show that in the regions with low degree of marketization, media reports have a greater impact on state-owned enterprises’ provision for goodwill impairment. At the same time, it is verified that investor sentiment and analyst concern have some intermediary effects on the impact of media reports on the provision for goodwill impairment. This paper clarifies the impact path of media reports on the provision of goodwill impairment, and enriches the relevant research literature on goodwill.
