Brigandine in the Ming Dynasty is an armour whose armour leaf is located inside the armour coat, and the armour leaf is connected to the cloth surface by nails. It is widely used on the battlefield in the middle and late Ming Dynasty. The special connection and manufacturing process of brigandine in the Ming Dynasty is greatly different from that of the previous generation of armour in the form of string series connection and dense stacking. Taking the brigandine exhibited in Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum as an example, the author explores the manufacturing process of brigandine in the Ming Dynasty, and makes a restoration study of it. From this, the author summarizes and discusses the advantages of brigandine technology and the large-scale production of armor in the Ming Dynasty.
