摘　　要：徐家璧是我国首位专文探讨图书馆专业问题的图书馆学家,在图书馆学理论与实践上成就卓著。他论述图书馆事业的专业性,探究图书馆专业化的法律规范和职业伦理,构建图书馆流通部职员素质的规范体系,提出儿童图书馆设计和设备的若干原则,为袁同礼研究开路筑基,推进海外学术成果的翻译推介转化。Hsu,Chia-Pi is the first librarian in China to discuss librarianship profession.He made outstanding achievements in the theory and practice of library science.He expounded the professionalism of librarianship,explored the legal norms and professional ethics of librarianship professionalization,constructed the normative system of the quality of the circulation librarian,and put forward some principles of the design and equipment of the children's library,laid foundation for Yuan Tongli's research and promoted the translation,promotion and transformation of overseas academic achievements.
