Objective To observe the effect of using PDCA cycle management model in the process of quality improvement of blood specimen collection. Methods Five staff members who participated in relevant management research in Changsha Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January to December 2021 were selected as the research object. From January to June 2021,the hospital adopted the general quality management mode and were included in the control group. From July to December 2021,the hospital adopted the PDCA circular management mode and was included in the improvement group.Compared the unqualified situation, collection step scoring under the two modes. Results The incidence of unqualified blood samples in the improved group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the score of collection steps in the improved group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The PDCA cycle management model can continuously improve the quality of blood specimen collection, reduce the incidence of blood specimen failure, and improve the standardization of collection steps.
