In order to clarify hydration process of tailings based mortars modified by graphene oxide, the tailings based mortars were prepared by adding different amounts of GO,and the effect of GO addition on the compressive strength and hydration products of tailings based mortars were investigated. The results show that with GO addition increasing, the compressive strength and chemically bonded water increase firstly and reduce afterward. When the addition of GO is 0.04%,the compressive strengthes are increased by 48.87%,34.11%and 26.74%respectively at 3 d,7 d and 28 d hydration reaction compared with unmodified mortars. And the hydration reaction process of mortar is improved.Meanwhile, the addition of GO inhibits the formation of CH and refines the microcrystals on the CH(001)plane.
