摘　　要：To the Editor:Axial spondyloarthritis(axSpA)is a chronic and progressive disease affecting the spine and sacroiliac(SI)joints,causing inflammatory back pain,stiffness,and inducing new bone formation(syndesmophytes and ultimately ankylosis in the severe forms).AxSpA consists of two subsets of patients:those with non-radiographic axSpA(nr-axSpA)and those with ankylosing spondylitis(AS),also known as radiographic axSpA.
