摘　　要：中篇小说《局外人》是一部揭示荒诞和反抗的作品。小说主人公默尔索被“荒谬的世界”所围困,在与“荒诞力量”较量时,他极力坚持自我,保持独立个性,不断与荒诞作斗争。他的行为和态度让别人无法理解,而这正是他对抗荒诞的一种方式。在小说中,他经历了从自由人到局外人的反抗,其反抗尽管不能改变什么,但终将给蒙昧的生命以震撼,这也是小说所要达到的目的。Medium length novel Outsider is a work which reveals absurdity and resistance.The protagonist Meursault is sieged by"absurd world",when comes to the"absurd world",he insists on himself,maintains independent personality,and keeps fighting with the absurd.His behavior and attitude are incomprehensible to others,and that’s the way he’s fighting the absurdity.In the novel,he experienced resistance from a free man to an outsider,though his resistance could not change anything,it will shock the life of ignorance,this is also the purpose of the novel.
