摘　　要：A new airport in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on December 20.The airport,built at an altitude of 3,252 meters,opened to traffic on December 23.Located in Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County,it is the westernmost airport in China and the highest in Xinjiang.The airport’s passenger throughput and cargo volume will reach 160,000 and 400 tons annually,respectively.
