摘　　要：“科学语言”,即科学家进行科学研究和交流时所使用的一套语言。考察中国近代科学语言的形成,既是中国近代科技史研究的重要内容,又为研究中国近代科技史提供了独特的视角。自西学东渐开启以来,传统汉语不断在语词、符号、语法、文体、标点、文字排列等诸多方面发生着调整和变迁,以适应近代科学向中国的移植和发展。然而,中国近代科学语言的形成不仅应关注语言本身,还须关注创造和使用该语言的群体,以及与该语言的出现密切关联的社会制度和思想观念等多方面的因素。从科技与社会(STS)的视角,探讨近代中国科学的发展和语言变迁之间的互动问题,进而从科学技术史的维度阐释近代科学语言在中国的形成。“Scientific language” is a set of language used by natural philosophers or scientists in scientific research and communication. Studying the formation of scientific language in modern China, is not only an important part of the study of the history of science and technology, but also provides a unique perspective. Since the 16th century, western science was transmitted into China by western missionaries and Chinese enlightened intellectuals, in which process, however, encountered many language barriers. In order to hold western science more comprehensively and accurately, traditional Chinese was gradually and greatly enriched and adjusted in terms of words, symbols, grammar, style, punctuation marks, and the arrangement of printed characters. Except for the change of language itself, the establishment of the scientific community that created and used scientific language and reforms in educational systems and ideology in modern China, also played an important role in the formation of scientific language in modern China. This paper attempts to discuss the interaction between the development of science and the change of language in modern China from the perspective of science, technology and society(STS).
