摘　　要：美国著名女诗人伊丽莎白·毕晓普在早期创作中深受“红色30年代”影响,具有强烈的社会意识和社会责任感。她以马克思主义思想为观照,关注大萧条时期的阶级斗争,书写资本主义社会中底层边缘人的困境,批判现代工业文明造成的人的异化。这些作品展现了对时代与历史的清醒认知,具有照进现实的社会广度,表明了诗人鲜明的左倾立场。Influenced by the “Red” decade of the 1930s, Elizabeth Bishop was imbued with a strong sense of social conscience and social responsibility. Under the influence of Marxism, she concerned about the class struggle in the Great Depression, wrote about the predicament of the underclass people, and criticized the alienation of man engendered by modern civilization. With clear-cut left-wing political view, her early works have a clear awareness of the time and history,reflecting social reality and showing her severe criticism of the social injustice and protest against industrialization.
