摘  要:1983年国庆节前夕,邓小平为景山学校题词:教育要面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来。“三个面向”是邓小平教育思想的精髓,是我国教育事业发展必须长期坚持的方针。中国式现代化是后发赶超型的现代化,是依靠社会主义的制度优势,在经济上和技术上不断赶超发达国家的现代化。教育也要服从服务于社会主义现代化建设这个最大的政治,吸收人类文明一切优秀成果,学习世界先进科学技术,培养能够适应和引领未来发展的一代新人。“三个面向”所蕴含的主要思想、基本观点没有过时,仍然具有重要的指导意义。习近平总书记关于教育的重要论述进一步发展了这一思想,推动新时代教育创新发展。On the eve of National Day in 1983, Deng Xiaoping wrote an inscription for Jingshan School: Education should be oriented to modernization, the world, and the future. The "Three Orientations" is the essence of Deng Xiaoping’s educational thought and the principle that must be adhered to for a long time in the development of China’s educational undertakings. Chinese path to modernization is a modernization of the latecomer catch-up type. Relying on the advantages of the socialist system, it continuously catches up with and surpasses the developed countries economically and technologically. Education should be subordinated to serving the socialist modernization construction, which is the biggest politics. Education should also absorb all the excellent achievements of human civilization, learn the world’s advanced science and technology, and cultivate a new generation of people who can adapt to and lead future development. The main ideas and basic viewpoints contained in the "Three Orientations" are not outdated and still have important guiding significance. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on education has further developed this idea and promoted the innovative development of education in the new era.
