摘　　要：建筑学术联盟通过成熟的合作机制促进学科知识流动、培养复合背景人才、服务地方城乡建设,同时需要学术媒体作为发声阵地和交流平台。中国西部开展了大量建筑行业实践和科学研究,形成了特色理论与方法,同样需要专业学术媒体支撑。然而中国西部面临着缺乏专业建筑媒体、缺乏专业办刊主体的困境。西安建筑科技大学承担时代使命与社会责任,通过不断探索建筑学术期刊办刊路径、分析存在问题,、提出《西部建筑》办刊设想,以提升地区、国家和国际建筑学术共同体影响力。The architectural academic alliance promotes the knowledge flow,cultivates talents with mixed backgrounds,and serves urban and rural construction through a mature cooperation mechanism.Meanwhile,it requires academic media as a voice channel and communication platform.Architectural design institutes and universities conducted a large number of industrial practice and scientific researches in western China and formed characteristic theories and methods,which also required the support of professional academic media.However,western China is confronted with the dilemma of lack of professional architectural media and media organizers.Against this backdrop,Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology undertakes the mission and social responsibility.By constantly exploring the path of operating architectural journals and analyzing the existing problems,XAUAT has outlined plans to establish the journal“Western Architecture”,in order to enhance the influence of regional,national and international architectural academic communities.
