In FAT32 and NTFS file systems, files are usually stored by clusters, and the corresponding clusters are continuously allocated according to the order of file storage. However,in practice, there are often operations such as file deletion or replacement, which will easily lead to fragmentation.Due to the different file system structures of FAT32 and NTFS,the extraction methods of fragmented files are also different. The existence of fragmented files is easy to affect the system performance, reduce the file reading speed and hard disk life,so disk defragmentation is necessary.
