On Robert Hass’ Borrowing from and Betrayal of Czeslaw Milosz in Poetry

摘　　要：美国桂冠诗人罗伯特·哈斯曾与诺贝尔文学奖得主、波兰诗人切斯洛夫·米沃什在诗歌创作与翻译领域长期合作,形成了合作译诗的工作模式。基于对哈斯访谈大量一手材料的分析,结合其诗歌创作,从三个方面探讨哈斯诗歌创作所受到的米沃什的影响,具体表现为:对战争正义性的反诘、对自然双重性的反观以及对一神论的质疑。哈斯诗歌创作总体呈现出对米沃什的借鉴与背离,这也正折射出哈斯作为强者诗人的意志与社会责任感。The Polish poet Czeslaw Milosz and American poet Robert Hass were colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley for many years, during which time they established good rapport and co-translated many of Milosz’s poems. Based on the interviews of Hass, this article discusses the two poets’ cooperation, from which Hass obtained heavy influences from Milosz in questioning the justice of war, duality of nature and Monotheism. The influences exhibit Hass’ borrowing from and betrayal of Milosz in poetry writing, and also reflect Hass’ willpower and social responsibility as a poet.
