摘 要:学界一般将刊行于万历十九年(1591)的《遵生八笺》所记载的“番椒”视作辣椒传入中国的最早记载。雅尚斋本为《遵生八笺》的初始刻本。在对国图所藏善本书号为11525、19495、15332的三版雅尚斋本进行考订后发现,“番椒”记载依次经历了从无到有,从“红花”到“白花”的修订过程,但增订时间距初版刊行时间应当并不远,依然将《遵生八笺》视为辣椒传入中国的最早记载也或无不可。15332号善本所形成的文本内容也被之后的弦雪居重订本以及《草花谱》《艺花谱》等版本所沿用。在外来作物传播的研究中,不仅应对文献所记载作物进行名实考释,也应对文献作版本考订,并对“版本”进行重新认识,将每个文字发生变动的印本作为独立的考察单元。Records about the introduction of fanjiao(Capsicum annum L.)into China in Zunsheng Bajian,which was compiled in the 19 th year of the Wanli Period(1591),were regarded as the earliest records by scholars.The Yashangzhai Edition was the primary carved edition of Zunsheng Bajian.Based on a study of No.11525,No.19495 and No.15332 Yashangzhai editions,this article points out that records about fanjiao had been revised several times,for example,relevant records didn’t appear in the primary edition but in the revised one,and its flowers were recorded as white in the revised edition instead of red in the primary one.Since the publication dates of the revised edition and the primary edition were very close,it is reasonable that Zunsheng Bajian was still regarded as the earliest historical record about the introduction of fanjiao into China.The No.15332 Yashangzhai edition was also adopted by the revised edition of Xuanxueju and editions like Caohua Pu and Yihua Pu.Today,when we study the introduction of foreign crops,we should not only do textual research on the names and characteristics of each crop,but also study the sources of different editions.
