Since the creation of Wu-style Tai Chi, it becomes one of the five schools of Tai Chi for its unique style and distinct characteristic. Daguanwu Village was reputed as the Hometown of Wu-style Tai Chi for bringing about the founding ancestor and the second-generation inheritor of Wu-style Tai Chi. Some joked that any random choice in Dawuguan Village would find a person who had practiced Tai Chi. It was originally designated for domestic safeguard, but more and more people treat it as a martial art for physical and spiritual cultivation. Since Xiu Pixun introduced Wu-style Tai Chi to Laizhou, it spread everywhere in Laizhou and the street square here was frequented by Tai Chi fans. As a unique century-old martial art, the pattern and instrumental art of traditional Wu-style Tai Chi spread nationally and overseas and are listed in the list of provincial-level intangible cultural heritages.
