摘　　要：1.百年水塔、金桂树Century-old Water Tower and the golden osmanthus tree作为彼时上海纱厂(纺织谷所在地前身)及周边的最高建筑,水塔始建于1934年,高21.6米,承担着为工厂提供生产、生活用水的功能,也是目前青岛市最早的工业水塔之一。1925年,民族实业家周学熙、周志俊父子亲手在工厂中栽植金桂树,寓意华新纱厂荣华富贵,兴旺发达,也是青岛纺织历史的见证者。As the tallest building in and around the Shanghai Cotton Mill(the predecessor of the Textile Valley),the Water Tower was built in 1934 with a height of 21.6 meters,providing water for production and domestic use for the factory.It is also one of the earliest industrial water towers in Qingdao.In 1925,national industrialists Zhou Xuexi and his son Zhou Zhijun personally planted a gold osmanthus tree in the factory,which means Huaxin cotton mill is prosperous,and is also a witness of Qingdao textile history.Now,the fragrance of 156-year-old golden osmanthus tree wafts over the garden,refreshing every August.
