In high-energy heavy ion collisions, particles are in the medium before thermal freeze-out, the mass shift affects the particle’s terminal state information. The study has shown that particle spectrum in the large momentum area will be enhanced if mass shift is the same for all momentum of particles. However, the phenomenon does not appear in the experiments, so it is necessary to consider whether or not the mass shift will change with momentum. The paper mainly researches that the influence of mass shift with momentum change on D meson spectrum and elliptic flow.It is found that mass shift will enhances D meson yield in large momentum region, which decreases with the increase of energy density. The stronger mass shift is, the more obvious phenomenon is.The mass shift has an inhibitory effect on elliptic flow, which decreases with the increase of energy density. The inhibitory effect appears more obviously as the mass shift becomes stronger. The inhibition effect of mass shift on elliptic flow of D meson is more accurate.
