摘　　要：莫高窟第257、259窟是北魏时期重要洞窟。为从科学角度探究两窟壁画彩塑艺术特色和发展过程,本文综合运用超景深显微镜等原位无损分析技术以及X-射线衍射等实验室分析技术对其壁画彩塑制作工艺与材料特征进行研究。结果表明,壁画彩塑底色层分为红色与白色两类;第257窟颜料包括生石膏、滑石、红土、朱砂、昆虫来源的蒽醌类染料、氯铜矿、青金石、靛蓝及炭黑,第259窟颜料包括滑石、蛇纹石、红土、蓝铜矿以及伴生有蓝铜矿的氯铜矿。分析结果从时空两方面阐释了两窟绘画材料的传承与衍变,可为石窟考古、艺术史研究以及保护修复提供重要支撑。Caves no. 257 and 259 of the Mogao Caves are important caves from the Northern Wei Dynasty. In order to explore scientifically the artistic characteristics and development process of the murals and painted sculptures in these two caves, this paper uses non-destructive analytical techniques such as ultradepth field microscopy and X-ray diffraction to study the production techniques and material characteristics of the murals and sculptures. The results show that the ground color layer of the murals and sculptures can be divided into two categories: red and white. The pigments used in cave no. 257 include raw gypsum, talc,red earth, cinnabar, anthraquinone dyes from insects, chlorite, lapis lazuli, indigo, and black carbon. The pigments used in cave no. 259 include talc, serpentinite, red earth, azurite, and malachite associated with azurite. The analytical results explain the inheritance and evolution of the painting materials in the two caves from the aspects of time and space, and provide important support for the archaeological, art historical research, as well as the protection and restoration of the grottoes.
