摘　　要：记忆是一种回溯过去的心理形式,也是人类认识和反思自身的一个至关重要的参照点。作为一种特殊的记录记忆的模式,文学作品中的记忆书写不仅参与了文本叙事的建构,也反映了创作者自身的生命体验。美国后现代派作家约翰·巴斯的作品便蕴含了记忆书写的因素。巴斯在《安息日传奇》中呈现的家庭记忆、文化记忆和历史记忆三种记忆模式揭示出了他对于主人公苏珊通过家庭记忆和创伤记忆实现自我建构的人文关怀、对于神话经典和现实生活关系的探知以及他身为作家所肩负的社会责任感。Memory is not only a psychological form of looking back,but a vital reference point for human beings to become conscious of and reflect on themselves.As a special mode of recording memory,memory writing in literary works participates in the construction of text narration,while simultaneously mirrors the author s own life experience.The creations of John Barth,a post-modern writer in America,serve as such a perfect exemplification in which the element of memory writing is involved.The three models of memory as family memory,cultural memory and historical memory presented by Barth in his novel Sabbatical:A Romance reveal his humanistic care for Susan,a character constructing herself via family memory and traumatic memory,his quest of the relationship between mythology,classics and real life,as well as his sense of social responsibility as a writer.
