摘　　要：种族问题是德里罗中后期作品关注的重要主题。作为一个具有历史意识的作家,他对美国盛行的种族主义持批判态度,并对晚期资本主义社会种族主义终结的论调保持警觉。其小说展现了从冷战、全球化,直到9/11事件发生之后,种族问题在美国社会的嬗变历程,褪去了后现代社会审美化倾向笼罩在日常生活上的光环,击碎了人们潜意识里对社会抱有的美好幻想,暴露出美国社会难以回避的现实矛盾。Racism is an important theme in DeLillo’s middle and later works.As a writer with historical consciousness,DeLillo keeps a critical view of rampant racism in American society,and maintains vigilance against the end of racist argument in late capitalist society.His novels present the evolution of racial issues in American society from the beginning of the cold war,the global times in the 1990s,to the post-9/11 era,which strips the aesthetic aura of postmodern social life,smashes the subconscious visions for a better world,and exposes the inherent conflicts in American society.
